Overview
Patagonia is a region encompassing the vast southernmost tip of South America, shared by Argentina and Chile, with the Andes Mountains as its dividing line. The Argentine side features arid steppes, grasslands and deserts, while the Chilean has glacial fjords and temperate rainforest. Argentina’s famed RN-40 highway passes the pinnacles of Monte Fitz Roy and Perito Moreno Glacier in Los Glaciares National Park.

Itinerary Details
Day 1
Buenos AiresArrival and reception at the airport. Transfer to hotel. Accommodation. Then city tour visiting the most
interesting places in Buenos Aires. At the end return to the hotel.
Day 2
Buenos AiresDay at leisure to enjoy an optional tour and know even more Buenos Aires, enjoying cooking classes, tango
lessons, museums, etc.
Day 3
Buenos Aires / Comodoro RivadaviaEarly departure and reception at the Comodoro Rivadavia airport; transfer to Los Antiguos. On the way, will stop at the Petrified Forest José Ormachea. Arrival in Los Antiguos, on the shore of Buenos Aires Lake, the largest lake in South America after Titicaca. Box lunch.
Distance: 477 km (296 miles).

Day 4
Los Antiguos / Puerto TranquiloDeparture from Los Antiguos to the border with Chile to reach Chile Chico. Once we crossed into Chile, we will border along the General Carreras Lake, following some cornice stretches. After lunch, we trek to the Maquis river cascade and in the afternoon arrive to Puerto Rio Tranquilo. Overnight at Hostal El Puesto.

Day 5
Puerto Tranquilo.Today we visit the valley of the Explorers River where you take a short hike to access to the viewpoint, from there, we may contemplate the great Glacier Explorers. On this site, we suggest doing (optionally) Trekking on ice on the glacier Explorers or Navigation to San Rafael lagoon.

Day 6
Puerto Tranquilo / Los AntiguosIn the morning, we will make the navigation until Capillas de Marmol (Optional kayak trip). After noon, we will leave Puerto Tranquilo to reach Puerto Ibáñez and from there take the ferry across the lake to Chile Chico and return to Los Antiguos.

Day 7
Los Antiguos / Monte Zeballos / Lago PosadasToday travelling along the way that runs parallel to the border with Chile, joining the valleys of Buenos Aires Lake with the Posadas Lake. We will reach the Monte San Lorenzo viewpoint (3.706mts) to
descend and reach Posada and the Pueyrredón Lake. Tour around Posadas Lake. Accommodation and dinner at Hosteria Rio Tarde of Posadas Lake.

Day 8
Lago Posadas / Cueva de las Manos / El ChaltenDeparture from Posadas Lake to visit the “Cañadon del Rio Pinturas”. La Cueva de las Manos (Painted hand cave) is the main archaeological site of Patagonia, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO
in 1999. It shows the cave painting art of the pretehuelche culture. After the tour transfer to El Chalten.

Lago Posadas / Cueva de las Manos / El ChaltenDeparture from Posadas Lake to visit the “Cañadon del Rio Pinturas”. La Cueva de las Manos (Painted hand cave) is the main archaeological site of Patagonia, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO

El ChaltnToday we make a trekking to De los Tres Lagoon (9 hours) or Torre Lagoon (6 hours). You can choose one according the difficulty level.
Day 10
El Chaltn / El CalafateDay at leisure to relax, make a short trek or enjoy a navigation on Viedma Lake. In the afternoon, drive
to El Calafate on regular bus. Arrival and reception. Accommodation.

Day 11
El CalafateDay at leisure. Do not miss theopportunity to sail among icebergs or enjoy the ancient landscape of Chalten or Torres del Paine. Choose your optional tours.
Day 12
El Calafate / Buenos AiresVisit the Perito Moreno Glacier, within Los Glaciares National Park. Because of its beauty,
has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. During the tour, you can take the Nautical Safari (optional) and get a different view of the glacier. Return to board the flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival
and accommodation.
Day 13
Buenos AiresAt due time, transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight.
