Itinerary Details
Day 1
QuitoArrival and reception at the airport. Accommodation.
Day 2
QuitoAfter breakfast, you will start a walk through La Calle Ronda, one of the oldest streets of the city, where you will notice how the colonial houses were built and how the local inhabitants used to live in the 1600s.
Afterwards you will visit the antique Colonial Quito including Santo Domingo Square, the City Museum, San Francisco Square, La Merced Church, Presidential Palace, the Cathedral and other important buildings. The last stop will be La Compañía de Jesús Church, the most beautiful Church of South
America or maybe of all over the world, and then you will visit Itchimbia. Finally you will visit the historical site where the Zero Latitude was found in 1736. Lunch in one of the restaurants located in the middle of the world. After that you will visit the Ethnographical Museum and the INTI ÑAN Museum which has interesting explanations of the natural events that are only applicable to Ecuador. Return to hotel.
Day 3
QuitoDay at leisure to enjoy an optional tour. We suggest visiting the Handcraft Market of Otavalo, famous
for its handcrafts, textiles, tapestries and traditional shops. Although the central day to visit this market is on Saturdays, you will enjoy a less crowded square from Sundays to Fridays. The lunch will be served in one of the local ranches built between XVII and XVIII centuries with a typical Andean atmosphere. Return to hotel.
Day 4
Quito / Galapagos Island / Santa CruzIn the morning, transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight to Santa Cruz. Arrival and transfer
to the Itabaca Channel by free buses in order to cross by ferry and be transferred to Puerto Ayora. On the way you will visit the lava tunnels, one reserve of giant turtles and the Scientific Station of Charles Darwin
upon arrival in Puerto Ayora. Accommodation.
Day 5
Santa Cruz- Puerto AyoraIn the morning departure to Turtle Bay, after a walk you will reach one of the most beautiful beaches of Galapagos where you will rest. Return to Puerto Ayora, free time to have lunch. In the afternoon, you will go through La Lobería by yacht which has its name due to a posting of sea lions. Here you will be able to do snorkel. You will continue towards the Love Channel and the Dog’s Beach. Note: this excursion operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Day 6
Santa Cruz / Galapagos Islands/ Santa CruzExcursion by yacht to one of the following Islands: Squares, Saymour, Bartolomé, Santa Fe or similar.
Lunch included. Return to Puerto Ayora.
Day 7
Santa Cruz / Galapagos Islands/ Santa CruzExcursion by yacht to one of the following Islands: Squares, Saymour, Bartolomé, Santa Fe or similar.
Lunch included. Return to Puerto Ayora.
Day 8
Santa Cruz- Puerto Ayora / Quito or GuayaquilTransfer from the hotel until Itabaca Channel in order to cross by ferry and arrive into the airport to board the flight back to Quito or Guayaquil subject to your next destination.
